On the season, Murray appeared in 41 contests, including 38 starts. Greg closed the year with a .243 batting average, including four home runs, six doubles and 27 RBI. Murray led the Tigers with eight hit-by-pitches last season and scored 21 runs. Murray's most prolific performance came against UC Davis on Apr. 5, as he was 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Murray sparked the Tigers' 12-10 victory as Pacific roared back from an 8-0 deficit. Greg got the Tigers on the board in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run home run, then delivered a two-run double as part of a 10-run eighth inning for Pacific. Greg closed the season with four hits in his final eight at-bats, raising his average 16 points in the final two contests.<p><b>Junior College:</b><p>Murray played for Diablo Valley College last season, where he helped the Vikings to a 22-22 record. Murray finished the 2006 season with a .324 batting average. Murray collected 55 hits in 44 games, including 11 doubles, four triples and four home runs. Murray led the Vikings with a .553 slugging percentage and also finished tied for the team lead with 12 stolen bases.<p><b>High School:</b><p>Greg graduated from El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, Calif. in 2004. As a Gaucho, Murray was a three-time All-Alameda Contra Costa Athletic League (ACCAL) member. Following his junior season, Greg was named the ACCAL MVP and the Times & Tribune Player of the Year. Greg was also a two-time letterwinner in football as a quarterback.<p><b>Personal:</b><p>Greg Murray is the son of Roger and Debbie Murray. Greg has one sibling, Doug (19). In his second year at Pacific, Greg is a business major.<p>
